SMALL ANIMALS
"Small animals" is a term used to encompass all of the following: mice, rats, hamster, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, and ferrets.
We have all of the above in our store year-round. Below are some photos of our cuddly critters.
CAUTION: Do not use cedar bedding for the small animals! It has been known to cause deadly allergic reactions in hamsters, mice, & gerbils. It has also been known to cause chronic respiratory problems in rabbits & guinea pigs. Pine (without chlorophyll) and aspen bedding cause no such problems.

Chinchillas like these little rascals are great quiet pets. They are luxuriously soft and absolutely hysterical to watch when they take a dust bath!

Guinea Pigs are very docile and love being spoiled with a lot of snuggling. They rarely, if ever, nibble on fingers and love to "talk" using different purrs and squeaks. They are great pets for kids of all ages!

Ferrets: $125 for babies, $99 for 6 mos. & up.
Ferrets live to play! They entertain themselves and others with anything they find lying around. Dogs and cats are super playmates for these funny creatures, but birds, rabbits, and hamsters are fair game for snacking. Ferrets, like cats, sleep about 18 hours a day but when they're awake they are full of energy!
